About Us

At Educators Bridging the Gap, we are dedicated to closing the distance between teaching and learning by equipping educators with research-based strategies, practical tools, and authentic insights. Our work is grounded in the belief that every classroom can become a space where students are engaged, empowered, and accountable for their own success, and where educators feel supported, prepared, and inspired to thrive.

Through our Bridging the Gap Professional Development Series, we help schools and districts align with the North Star Framework, building positive learning communities, setting clear and challenging expectations, designing meaningful engagement, expanding knowledge, and empowering students through reflection and goal setting.

We believe in authentic conversations, actionable strategies, and sustainable practices that empower educators to not just teach content, but to cultivate curiosity, ownership, and lifelong learning.

Together, we are bridging the gap, one classroom, one teacher, and one student at a time.

Educators Bridging the Gap was born out of Dr. Karlene Richardson's transparent journey of rediscovering teaching through the lens of engagement, student agency and ownership of learning, and accountability. With mentorship from Dr. Jamie Rechenberg, Dr. Richardson shares innovative approaches to transforming classrooms into dynamic communities of learning. Dr. Richardson is also now an Adjunct Professor sharing Medical Terminology with adult learners.
