Learning is most powerful when it connects to students’ prior knowledge, lived experiences, and future aspirations. In this Professional Development session, educators will examine how to scaffold new content by drawing on students’ cultural, personal, and academic backgrounds. Teachers will learn methods for weaving reflection, storytelling, and application tasks into lessons so students see the relevance of learning in their own lives.
Empowering Students Through Goal Setting and Reflection
